Farmland and Renewable Energy Research

Andjelic Land Inc. contributed $5,000 in 2025 to support the Nuffield Canada scholarship research of Saskatchewan farmer Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel, whose work explores the landowner’s perspective on renewable energy infrastructure on agricultural land.

Cherilyn’s research focuses on:

  • Land management impacts — how renewable energy infrastructure, such as wind turbines, affects farm production and long-term land use
  • Decommissioning and lifecycle planning — what happens to renewable infrastructure once it reaches the end of its useful life
  • Reliable, cost-effective power — balancing the growth of renewable energy with a power supply that works for farmers and rural communities

This funding supports research that gives farmers and landowners a stronger voice in conversations about renewable energy development — an investment that reflects our commitment to responsible, informed land stewardship across Saskatchewan.
